In the Old Testament most frequently the kidneys are associated with the most inner stirrings of emotional life. But they are also viewed as the seat of the secret thoughts of the human; they are used as an omen metaphor, as a metaphor for moral discernment, for reflection and inspiration.

This is כליה (kilyah) in Hebrew. What is interesting about the word itself is that it is a feminine noun, that only appears in the Bible in the plural form (kilyot). This is one of the fascinating ways we know without a doubt that it means “kidney” because it’s always plural (and kidneys come in a pair).

We need to embrace the body-mind-soul aspect of the pain (metaphysical). The back represents our support system, so problems with our back usually mean we feel we are not being supported. It is also linked with finance, the lack of money, fear of not having enough, fear of material loss, the fear of your own survival.
Both acute and chronic back pain can be associated with psychological distress in the form of anxiety (worries, stress) or depression (sadness, discouragement). Psychological distress is a common reaction to the suffering aspects of acute back pain, even when symptoms are short-term and not medically serious .
Opening the solar plexus chakra can be an intense and painful experience. Some of the physical symptoms of solar plexus chakra opening include stomach problems, loss of appetite, palpitations, and insomnia.
